Leeds Beckett University – Caedmon Hall
About this Project:
Linear Control Systems Ltd. (LCSL) is honoured to have partnered with Tilbury Douglas in the refurbishment of the historic, Grade II listed Caedmon Hall for Leeds Beckett University.
This newly renovated building now provides a state-of-the-art facility for the Carnegie School of Education, offering a modern and efficient environment while preserving the architectural heritage of this iconic space.
Following our earlier work on the university’s Carnegie School of Sport in 2020, this marks our second significant project on the Leeds Beckett campus.
Our team fitted Caedmon Hall with an advanced Tridium Building Management System (BMS), which monitors, controls, and integrates seamlessly with the newly installed HVAC systems, including air source heat pumps, boilers, VRF systems, and lighting.
More About The Project
This system is linked to the campus-wide IQVISION head end, enabling centralised management and oversight of environmental conditions across the entire site.
Each room within Caedmon Hall has been equipped with Modbus temperature sensors that interface with LTHW control valves, creating a highly efficient temperature regulation system throughout the facility. This integration not only ensures energy efficiency but also delivers optimal comfort for building occupants.
