About this Project:
In collaboration with SES and Wates, this project involved the construction of a state-of-the-art, net-zero carbon secondary school in Leicester. Brook Mead Academy consists of a modern 3-storey teaching building and a separate Sports Block, replacing a previous temporary facility elsewhere in the city.

These elements, combined with smart energy management, enable the school to offset all operational carbon emissions – making it one of the most environmentally friendly educational buildings in the UK.
Brook Mead Academy officially opened in September 2025, offering places for up to 1,200 pupils and employing 128 staff members.
